This book is the third novel in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas.
In this book Calaena is sent to Wendlyn so she will be protected, but Chaol, who sent her there, did not know there was danger there as well. There Calaena has to train to get the answers to the questions she desperately needs to know. But then a war is brewing and the King is gaining forces with the witches and Calaena will have to protect the fairies in Wendlyn.
In this book a lot of new characters are introduced and we begin to hear from other people's perspectives. Since Calaena has now been separated from the castle, we hear from her perspective as well as Chaol and Dorians in the castle. Along with this we hear from the perspective of the witches.
I didn't think this was the best book in the series at all and I found parts to be a bit boring and slow paced but overall it was a good book and hearing from the witches perspective was really intriguing.
If you've read this book I'll love to know if you thought differently and please comment if you do. I'd love to hear from you.
Leah.
