It follows Cinder who is trying to escape from prison along with Scarlet Benoit who is in France. Her grandmother is missing and she finds out her grandmother has been keeping secrets from her. Then she meets Wolf, who is a street fighter, and she thinks he has information on where her grandmother is. They go on a journey to find her and on the way they meet up with Cinder and together they have to try to make a plan on how to stop the Lunar Queen Levana, who would do anything to make Prince Kai her husband.

This book was just as good as Cinder and the new characters were very intriguing and funny. I really enjoyed it and the plot was very good and again it was a major page turner.4.5/stars.

Give this series a try, I guarantee you'll enjoy it!

Book Review - Cinder by Marissa Meyer

I read this book a while ago but it was so good I decided to review it. Cinder was written by Marissa Meyer. It's a fairy-tale retelling of Cinderella and is the first novel in Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles series.

It's based in a futuristic New-Beijing with humans and androids. The main character, Cinder, is a mechanic and a cyborg. A plague is spreading and the lunar people watch, but no one knows that the Earths fate is in Cinder's hands. Cinder, who has a mysterious past, lives as a second-class citizen with her stepmother and two stepsisters. She meets Prince Kai and she gets to know him. Then she, along with Dr. Erland, realises she has to try to figure out her past in order to protect Earth's future.

I absolutely loved this book and I've never read anything like it before. It's a big page turner and I thought it was so interesting when Cinder finally found out about her past. This book definitely deserves a 5/5 stars, I couldn't put it down!

The next book in the series is Scarlet and I hope to review that too along with the rest of the books in the series.

If you've read this book already, let me know what you thought.

Book Review - The Isle Of The Lost by Melissa De La Cruz

The Isle Of The Lost was written by Melissa De La Cruz. I bought my hardback copy of the book from The Book Depositary, which offers free postage and packaging worldwide, for €16.05.

The Isle of the Lost: A Descendants NovelThe book is the prequel to the new Disney Channel Original Movie which is coming out this summer - Descendants. It follows the Disney villains Jafar, Maleficent, Cruella De Vil and Evil Queen along with their children. They have been banished to the Isle of The Lost which is surrounded by a force field and stripped of their magical powers. Mal, who is Maleficent's daughter, learns that the Dragon's Eye, which is the key to true darkness, is hidden in her mother's scepter somewhere on the island. But the Dragon's Eye is cursed, and whoever touches it will fall asleep for a thousand years. So Mal puts together a plan to retrieve the Eye and sets out on the quest with her three friends.

I really enjoyed the book and the character development was brilliant as the villain's children realized it wasn't so bad to be good. The characters were written really well and you could really see their
personalities come out. I would rate this book 4/5.

I hope you decide to read this book and that you enjoy it as much as I did.

About My Reading Obsession.

Right now, I'm obsessed with fantasy and dystopian novels. I spend a lot of my time with my head stuck in a book. I also spend a lot of time on YouTube researching new releases and popular YA books. This is an essential resource for me when I'm trying to find new and interesting books to read.

Sometimes I borrow books from my local library. I occasionally buy books in a bookshop or online from The Book Depository. However, I read most of my books on my kindle which I got for Christmas. It is my favourite piece of technology of all time!

Quite often I can't get the books I want to read from the library so I download them onto my kindle, which is much cheaper than buying the real thing.

I love to go into bookshops to browse as I'm almost as obsessed with the book covers and binding as I am with the stories!

Thanks for reading and I hope you keep checking my posts from now on.
