The main character, Samantha or Sam, has extreme, obsessional OCD. She is part of the popular group in her high school and she knows the girls will turn on her if she even wears her hair wrong. When Sam meets Caroline, she begins to enjoy life more and has fun. Caroline introduces Sam to Poet's Corner and a group of misfits that write there. Sam is drawn to them and she starts to relax and feel normal in their company until something happens that makes her question her sanity once again.
This novel was so amazing. The author made me realize exactly what it's like to live with OCD and the seriousness of it. Sam was a very strong character and she was able to cop with it even considering everything that was going on in her life. The plot was excellent and the ending in particular blew me away. The girls in the popular group were very irritating but that added to Sam's life in school. The friends in Poet's Corner were so lovely to Sam and they managed to make her put her guard down. The last thing I loved about this book was that there was snippets of their poetry mixed throughout the novel. It was just a stunning novel and I definitely rate it 5/5 stars.
Please read this book and then we can discuss it.
Leah.
